1. How is EarthBOSS made?
The process of producing live microbes is done over 16 weeks by rapidly multiplying the microbes as a natural active component of EarthBOSS. The EarthBOSS process and formula are free of harmful pathogens such as salmonella and e-coli. Our patented nutrient extraction process in combination with our microbial input blend produces a unique liquid plant treatment that has a complete balance of nutrients, is pH neutral.
2. What is the science behind EarthBOSS?
Simply, it duplicates nature’s way of growing – a complete and balanced spectrum of plant-available nutrients, dynamic biology in the foliage and soil enabling the maximum intake of those nutrients. Plantlife can take in 9 times more nutrients through the leaves, stems and foliage than through the root system. Nature’s way is all about biology, not chemical. EarthBOSS provides nature’s growing system in a simple to use way.
3. Is EarthBOSS the same as any other liquid products?
This is the most common question the EarthBOSS team is asked. There are other similar products as well as other organic products which sometimes can have their place in your growing system. However, we believe and it has been also proven that EarthBOSS is much much more effective product at a very inexpensive price as well as it is very easy to use. EarthBOSS also provides a pure carbon source and microbes to the soil.
4. Is EarthBOSS safe to use on natives and delicate plants?
Yes. EarthBOSS has been the ‘go-to’ plant nutrient for many passionate members of garden clubs throughout Australia and Singapore, as well as some other countries who are growing natives, orchids, roses, etc. EarthBOSS has a balanced combination of nutrients (unlike chemical fertilizers) that concentrate on Nitrogen, Potassium and Phosphorous… the source of most problems for natives.
5. What rate should I apply EarthBOSS at?
For foliage applications, apply at the rate of 1 fluid oz. of EarthBOSS to the 1.5 pints of water (1:25) for the initial application. A slightly stronger mix can be used for garden and lawn establishment in the first application. After the first application, the strength of the mix can be gradually diluted to as low as 1 fluid oz. to 6 pints of water (1:100).

6. How often should I apply EarthBOSS?
EarthBOSS should be applied two times in the first week at the stronger mix and then possibly every week for 3 or 4 weeks while gradually diluting the ratio of EarthBOSS over that time. By this time you will begin to understand what your garden wants and needs and you will be able to calculate what is required. Applications can vary depending on what you are growing however keep in mind there is not any situation of ‘wrong application’.
A one-off EarthBOSS treatment will provide significant benefits, however, regular applications produce the best results. EarthBOSS can be applied all year round, even in winter and at the height of summer in fact it is noted for its ability to support plants through harsh climatic variations. After a short time of using EarthBOSS, you will get to understand the effectiveness and what your garden needs and what suits it best.
7. Can I overdose my plants with EarthBOSS?
No. There is little risk of plant damage due to incorrect application rates of EarthBOSS. In trials conducted EarthBOSS has been diluted and applied with no adverse effects. Growers of more sensitive plants such as orchards, natives and roses have had great success using EarthBOSS.
8. Should I apply EarthBOSS to the foliage as well as the soil?
EarthBOSS works on both, however, it is most effective for foliage application. University studies show that nutrient intake is 9 times more effective through foliage application than through the soil. In addition, the fact that EarthBOSS is pH neutral makes the nutrients more available than other plant treatments. The soil loves the excess that drops off the foliage because it is loaded with beneficial microbes for healthy vibrant soil biology – the way nature works.
9. What is the best time of the day to apply EarthBOSS?
For best results apply EarthBOSS early morning or late afternoon. Plants have maximum absorption during these times, increasing nutrient absorption efficiency.
10. Can I use EarthBOSS on my vegetable garden?
EarthBOSS is safe and very effective on all food crops. EarthBOSS has been proven to increase yields, as well as promote overall health, improve flavour, nutritional value and shelf life of produce. Regular application of EarthBOSS as a part of your EarthBOSS system quite regularly produces 100% increases in yield and harvest production in as little as one season. EarthBOSS is a completely natural organic product.
11. Can I put EarthBOSS directly on the soil?
Yes. This helps soil biology by enhancing the carbon and nitrogen content as well as promoting microbial and earthworm activity. This works very well in the early stage of planting with seeds, bulbs and grafts before the root system develops. Soaking the seeds and the grafts in EarthBOSS for a few hours before planting gives the plants, a supercharge start to grow.
12. Does EarthBOSS work on lawns?
EarthBOSS is very effective for laying a new lawn, restoring or for general upkeep of great looking lawns.
13. How do I best store EarthBOSS?
Store out of direct sunlight, preferably below 95 degrees Fahrenheit and a container that has not previously contained chemicals or poisons. The container needs to be vented and able to breathe whilst stored.
14. What ways can I use EarthBOSS to get better results?
Using EarthBOSS in your compost before you apply your compost to your garden has an incredible accelerating effect on your plant growth. After adding the EarthBOSS to your compost, leave it for a minimum of 2-3 days before applying the compost to your garden.
15. Will EarthBOSS increase pest and disease resistance?
Although EarthBOSS contains numerous microbe species that are known to combat various pests and diseases, it is the general increased health of both plants and soils where EarthBOSS has been applied that gives plants their pest and disease resistance. Often the role of pests and disease in nature is to attack unhealthy plants, break them down into a usable carbon source from which a healthier plant can emerge – ‘Natures Sanitation Crew’ according to Dr Arden Anderson who is a world leader in the field of Sustainable Agriculture.
16. Why are there no NPK readings on EarthBOSS?
NPK (Nitrogen, Potassium & Phosphorous) content, usually the focus of chemical fertilisers, is a false indicator as to the effectiveness of a plant treatment. Nature works holistically and synergistically where all systems in the growing process need to be present, rather than a select few and each system complements and enhances the other. For example, the nutrient source used needs to support the microbial factory in the foliage and soil and not kill it as chemicals do.
17. Will EarthBOSS discolour my roses?
We have commercial rose growers using EarthBOSS with great success. One grower who was getting petal discolouration in their lighter-coloured roses when using a seaweed product, happily reports no discolouration at all using EarthBOSS.
18. What equipment can I use to apply EarthBOSS?
EarthBOSS can be used in almost any type of spraying equipment from hand sprays including watering cans as well as larger commercial type of garden equipment.
Note: As in Question 13 above do not use equipment that has had chemicals or poisons in it.
19. Is EarthBOSS harmful to our skin?
Absolutely not. As previously stated, it is an organic and biological product.
